The funfair this year was a monument to the Hon. Odunmbaku-led administration’s unrelenting dedication to turning it into an annual festival that represents the spirit of cultural heritage and community unity, following through on a vow made during the inaugural event. The much-anticipated second edition of the Ojodu Carnival took place against the colourful backdrop of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) facilities in Ogba.
The Ojodu Carnival represented more than just entertainment; it was a potent force that brought the beloved community and the distinguished Council members together. It sought to honour and demonstrate the depth of cultural history and timeless principles. The occasion provided a means for customs to flourish and be transmitted to next generations, guaranteeing their continued existence and conservation.
Significantly boosting the local economy, the funfair featured companies and brands in the LCDA and offered priceless chances for expansion. It promoted an atmosphere that was favourable to the success of regional business owners, understanding the significance of bolstering and enhancing the LCDA’s economy.
The funfair appeared as a much-needed source of entertainment and break from the daily grind. A fantastic musical festival with well-known performers like Pasuma and Small Doctor delighted attendees and promised hours of sheer happiness, relaxation, and laughing.

The Chairman, Hon. David Odumbaku, expressed his sincere gratitude and praised the committees and stakeholders who worked tirelessly and dedicatedly to make sure this year’s event was a huge success. A few of the events that took place to commemorate the occasion included fitness and aerobic classes, a raffle with a brand-new tricycle as the grand prize, a food bazaar with discounted food, a carousel, a thrilling music fiesta, and the distribution of N50,000 to 100 nano traders as empowerment. The residents of the village also emphasised how happy they were with the carnival’s second edition.
