Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has announced When the Curfew Will be Ending, And Send a Goodwill Message to Oba of Benin Oba Ewuare II, on the occasion of his birthday and the celebration of his 4th coronation anniversary.
Obaseki who released the Message via his social media handle said that the 24 hours curfew which he has currently declared in the state due to the hijack of the protest by some armed thugs said the curfew is still on till further notice.
The Governor as said “on behalf of the Govt & people of Edo State, I heartily congratulate your Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, on the auspicious occasion of your birthday celebration and 4th coronation anniversary.

We have indeed benefited from your fatherly role in ensuring stability, peace and progress in our dear state. We pray that the many more years that God Almighty shall grant you to sit on the exalted throne of your forefathers will usher in unmatched advancement and development to our people.
May God continue to grant you sound health, the vitality and wisdom to enable you continue to lead our great kingdom. Congratulations! Long may you reign, Oba gha to kpere, Isee!!!” He tweeted.
Governor Obaseki also tasked everyone to remain indoors as the security operatives have been deployed to the streets to deal with anyone who do not comply with the order. He urge parents and guardians to retrain their children, youth and wards from flouting the order as the security agents will not spare anyone who disobey the order.
Speaking on the recent jail break in Edo State, Obaseki said the authorities are yet to confirm the total number of inmates released to the streets, as investigations are still ongoing, which necessitate the shutdown in the State
