Mele Kyari, the group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, has apologised to Nigerians for the imported adulterated fuel.
Mr. Kyari apologised on Wednesday while testifying before the House of Representatives Committee on Water Resources.
It should be noted that the NNPC imported Premium Motor Spirit with excess methanol levels exceeding the Nigerian market specification.
The House had directed the downstream committee on petroleum resources to investigate the importation and had ordered that marketers who imported the fuel be barred from doing so.
During his appearance, Kyari stated that the importation was unavoidable, and he apologised to Nigerians for the huge mistake.
“We regret this situation. It is completely unavoidable, we didn’t see it coming. We apologise to Nigerians. We didn’t see this coming,” he said.
I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was wondering what all is required to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet savvy so I’m not 100% sure. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
This is a topic that’s close to my heart… Best wishes! Where are your contact details though?
First off I want to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing. I have had a hard time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out. I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or tips? Thanks!
