Reactions have continued to trail the disillusion of the police special anti robbery squad (SARS) across the 36 States by the Inspector General of police.
This follows the persistent wave of protests by Nigerian youths, celebrities and sports men and women across the Country and beyond over the incessant harassment, extortion, brutality and impunity from the police SARS. While many see it as the Government yielding to the wish of the people, others express fear in view of the success recorded in crime prevention by the police SARS. Again others call for a total reformation, infusion of technology, training and retraining of police personnel as well as improvement of their welfare packages.
