Brazilian football legend Neymar is about to become the newest football hero to depart Europe for Al Hilal of the Saudi Pro League after his current club, Paris Saint-Germain, approved the transfer.
Recall that Neymar joined PSG from FC Barcelona in 2017 for a record-breaking €222 million transfer price. Neymar presently has two years left on his current contract with PSG.
Last year, Neymar struggled as the club’s supporters clamoured for his departure. In keeping with it, PSG stated upfront for this season that the Brazil international is unnecessary.
According to reports, Neymar was initially interested in returning to FC Barcelona, but the club’s financial issues prevented the move. In addition, even though Chelsea reportedly expressed interest in the injury-prone winger, Barca coach Xavi reportedly did not think the Brazilian belonged on his club. His financial demands made it evident that the Saudi Pro League would be the best fit for him.

It’s interesting to note that Al Hilal, who had been on the lookout for a football megastar to sign, was nearby and was able to persuade everyone involved to complete the deal.
Neymar’s six-year stay in Paris is going to come to an end in a few days as all parties have as of now approved the agreement.
Fabrizio Romano, an Italian transfer specialist, tweeted that Al Hilal was getting ready to finalise the paperwork for the Neymar Jr. trade on Monday.
“Player already approved the move, two-year contract — lawyers will be on it.
“Al Hilal already booked medical tests; waiting for Ney’s camp’s final green light.”
