The identities of the nominees who had previously been offered to Bola Ahmed Tinubu for consideration in selecting his running mate have been made public.
Recall that Kashim Shettima, the former governor of Borno State, was named as Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s running mate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential nomination on Sunday.
The Planning and Strategy Committee of the Tinubu Campaign Organization (TCO) reportedly provided Tinubu with a list of eleven potential running mates, according to Daily Trust.
According to the report, Babachir David Lawal, a former secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), served as the committee’s chairman.
According to the publication, the committee nominated four people from the North West and seven people from the North East.
It was discovered that because Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the party’s national chairman, is from the region, the panel did not recommend anyone from the North Central geopolitical zone.
