Senator Kashim Shettima, the APC’s vice presidential nominee, told Nigerians that the Bola Tinubu administration would run an inclusive government if elected.
He declared that their government would treat all Nigerians equally, justly, and fairly, regardless of their ethnic, religious, or political connections.
Shettima provided the assurance on Tuesday at the St. James Anglican Church, Iperu-Remo, Ikenne Local Government Area, Ogun State, for the one-year memorial ceremony for Dr. Emmanuel Abiodun, father of Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun.
He said, “We need to build a new nation because the hope of the black man is on Nigeria. The onus is on us to secure the future of our children yet unborn.
“I want to assure Nigerians that we are going to be just and fair to all Nigerians. We are going to be all inclusive because no society can strive on injustice. Ours will be all encompassing, all embracing government.
“We will build a country of our dreams where people are judged by their character irrespective of their political affiliations, religious persuasions, sectional or tribal ground.”
He praised the southwest region of the nation for being a haven of religious kindness and tolerance.
According to the former governor of Borno, in this area, people are assessed based on the quality of their character, competence, and skill.
He urged other regions of the nation to follow suit in order to promote peace and development.
