As Muslims celebrate this year’s Eid Kabir, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at say’s this year’s celebration calls for more obedience to the will of Allah and civil authorities.
In a sallah message to faithful signed by the Amir, Alhaj Alatoye Folorunsho Azeez describes this year’s celebration of Eid-ul-Adha as celebration in an “unusual time.”
Amir Azeez said that the unusualness of the celebration because of Covid-19 calls for greater obedience to Allah and civil authorities.
He called on all citizens to join hands in salvaging the country of the ills bedeviling it as government alone is not blame.
According to the Amir, we all need to change our ways and focus on value change for a turn around and quotes chapter thirteen of the Holy Qur’an which teaches that Allah will change our condition only if we change our ways.
In this regard, he advised that the issue of corruption must be dealt with in all ramifications, be our brothers keepers and see fellow being as one irrespective of religion, tribe or status.
He observed that respect for modesty in the Country is in a free fall as shameful acts have become common place and urged religious leaders to be in the vanguard of fighting the shamelessness.
