One Mrs Nkeiruka Ifeanyi, 30, Saturday, said she named her only and “elusive”son after Peace Mass Transit following the delivery of the baby at Peace Park, Owerri.
The mother, from Eha-Amufu in Isi-Uzo LGA of Enugu State, revealed that the baby was remarkable being a”sought-after-child” after she had given birth to six females previously, and the fact that doctors had said she would be operated upon to be able to be delivered of the child.
Nkeiruka stated this when the management of Peace Mass Transit Ltd donated gift items and cash to the new-born in Owerri.
She said, “My joy knows no bounds. My loyalty to Peace Mass Transit has been rewarded with an uncommon favour.
“I am happy to have had this baby by normal delivery. Doctors had warned that my baby would only come by caesarian, but I rejected that. I had had six non-complicated deliveries and had strong faith in God that this one was also going to be smooth.
“On the this fateful day, I got to the park and bought my ticket as usual and boarded, but began to feel the ‘signs’ as we were about to depart. I told other concerned passengers that I could manage, but older, more experienced women among them helped me to alight from the bus. PMT workers provided us some privacy and in no time, the baby arrived.
“It was a baby boy, the elusive boy we have been waiting for. We have named our son Peace Ifeanyi. May God preserve Peace Group.”
