Mosun Filani, an actress, producer, and screenwriter, has counselled her colleagues in the entertainment business to put an end to their arguments about the results of the most recent presidential election.
When asked what she thought of the celebrities who had engaged in dirty politics, Filani replied, “Some individuals take things to the extreme. Yet since we live in a democracy, everyone is free to support anybody they choose. The battles don’t seem necessary to me. By selecting capable and qualified leaders, we should all be working towards moving Nigeria forward. Why are we fighting if these men (Politicians) aren’t fighting themselves? It is not necessary.

“Everybody cannot agree on issues. I don’t understand the fuss and fights. A winner has been declared. The most important thing is to pray that the winner will meet our demands. If he does not; then, we can start complaining. For now, we should just pray for him to do well.”
Having just marked her tenth wedding anniversary, Filani said that marriage had significantly altered her. “Marriage has altered me significantly since one can no longer think of oneself alone,” she claimed. One must consider their spouse and kids. When one gets married, they cannot do many things that they could do and get away with when they are single.
She described her most recent project as a movie that had a fantastic cast, crew, and plot. “It is a movie that was shot with a great cast, crew, and storyline. It is a story that everybody can relate to, whether they are single or married. I believe that people are going to love it.”
