While attempting to steal transformer wires in Gombe State, a man was allegedly electrocuted.
The tragic tragedy occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning, December 16 at the Tumfure Community Labor Quarters in Akko Local Government, Gombe State.
Dr. Adakole Elijah, the head of Corporate Communications at Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC), verified the occurrence to reporters.
He said: “On Dec. 16, about 3.30 a.m., a vandal was electrocuted and died instantly while carrying out vandalism at Labour 1 Distribution Transformer of Tumfure 11 kv feeder. The vandal attempted to vandalize the upriser cable at the distribution transformer.”
The event was reported to the Tumfure Police Division, and the unidentified deceased body was carried down.
