Manchester City’s appeal against their two-year ban from European competition, handed to them by UEFA in February, was overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) this morning.
UEFA had found City guilty of breaching their club licensing and financial fair play regulations, but CAS found “most of the alleged breaches reported were either not established or time-barred”.
In addition, CAS reduced City’s €30m fine to €10m (£8.9m).
