The Lagos State Public Works Corporation, has urged companies with heavy duty trucks to as part of their corporate social responsibility compliment Government continued efforts to rehabilitate road defects across the State.
The General Manager of the Corporation Mr. Olufemi Daramola made the appeal during a roundtable with newsmen in Ojodu Berger.
Mr Daramola who is an Engineer also appealed to Lagos residents to take ownership of roads in their areas pointing out that many of the maintenance works carried out by the Agency sometimes come under threats of going bad afterwards due to unwholesome activities of road users and residents.
On the discharge of its activities, especially during the ongoing rainy season, Mr Daramola said the Lagos Public Works Corporation has evolved a culture of taking advantage of clement weathers to carry out maintenance works with a special mix of asphalt from the its plant.

Daramola said that between January and this month, the Lagos Public Works Corporation had carried out palliative work, routine maintenance and and sectional rahabilitation on three hundred and eighty five roads across all Local Government areas of the State.
