As part of efforts to curb the menace of rape and sexual assault in Nigeria.The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital(LASUTH) in partnership with an NGO (Partnership For Justice) have set up DNA center for rape victim for free emergency check up.
The center identified as “Mirabel Center” located in Ikeja is said to take free care for rape and mental support for victims.
According to the Organization, some of the services rendered at the centre includes Free collection of DNA samples to help actual justice, free pregnancy and Sexual transmitted diseases test, free emergency contraception to prevent pregnancy.
Victims of rape are also advised not to change their clothes after the incident “Don’t change clothes or bathe, go straight to Mirable Centre, its inside LASUTH Hospital in Ikeja”.

Mirabel Centre however urged Patients to visit the nearest police station around them for more legal backup.
