Following the rejection of Babajide Sanwo-Peace Olu’s Walk initiative by a number of celebrities, students at Lagos State University LASU have agreed to join the governor.
When Governor Sanwo-Olu visited their school to commission the newly built students arcade at the Lagos State University in Ojo, the ecstatic students made the commitment.
The LASU Arcade is the largest student union building in any Nigerian university.
Comrade Oladipupo Uthman Badmus, President of the Student Union Government, and Rt. Hon. Mustapha Adejuwon, Speaker of the Students Union Representatives, who led hundreds of students in welcoming the Governor, described him as a Youth-Centric Governor. They praised the Governor for making significant progress in Lagos State, particularly in the education sector.
The president of the student union, on the other hand, said that all students at the state-owned tertiary school have resolved to walk with the Governor for the sake of the state’s peace and prosperity.
Governor Sanwo-Olu presented two large buses, as well as other gadgets and equipment, to the Students Union.
They also performed happy songs with the governor when he gave the go-ahead for the arcade.
