The Lagos State Safety Commission has sensitized 100 officers and men of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency, LASTMA on Covid-19 health and safety compliance.
The Commission also extended the same training to 100 men of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps.
Each of the officers and men that participated in the sensitization programme were given safety kits specially put together by the Commission.
The Director-General of the Safety Commission, Mr. Lanre Mojola explained that the training and sensitization programme was organised to keep the officers and men who interact daily with members of the public abreast of the necessary precautionary measures they need to take to prevent them from contracting Covid-19.
Mr Mojola who stated that the training was being conducted in batches for the Enforcement officers said another batch would be conducted before the end of the year.
Appreciating the Safety Commission on behalf of the beneficiaries from both agencies, LASTMA Director of Training and Development, Mrs Olawunmi Dada described the enlightenment programme and safety kits given out to the officers and men as very essential. Kits containing
nose masks, face towels, sanitizers and other personal hygiene products were given to the participants.
