As part of the ongoing reconstruction of Mile 12-Ketu section of Ikorodu Road, the Lagos State Government has announced that a section of the BRT Lane at Ketu will be partially closed for 14 working days, beginning from Monday, September 14, 2020.
In a statement, the Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, explained that the partial closure is to allow the contractor handling the project to commence construction of additional Relief Culverts across the road at Ketu Bus Stop.
He said that the BRT buses operating on the Ketu axis would be diverted to the service lane from Oluwalogbon Street Junction during the construction period.
The Commissioner who stated that personnel of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency, LASTMA, would be available to direct traffic and ensure the free flow of vehicular movements, solicited the cooperation and support of drivers of BRT buses plying the corridor, as the project is aimed at finding a lasting solution to the gridlock on the ever-busy road.
