On March 10, 2022, a 27-year-old private nursery and primary school teacher were remanded for defiling his eight-year-old pupil in the school toilet.
Bisi Ogunleye, the prosecutor, told the Ogba magistrates’ court in Lagos earlier that the accused, Isaac Natu, enticed the girl into the school bathroom and had no awareness of her.

“It was the school’s security guard who caught him in the act,” Ogunleye told the court. He was arrested and surrendered to the authorities.”
The magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubeinje, who was worried by the increasing cases of underage defilement did not take the plea of the accused and ordered that he be remanded and adjourned the case to April 27.
