The Lagos State Government has begun the process of amending the State Administration of Criminal Justice Law 2011.
To this end, the executive has forwarded a proposal for the amendment to the State Assembly for legislative consideration.
The proposal was contained in correspondence from the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo, and read at plenary by the Clerk of the H.ouse, Mr. Azeez Sanni.
The Bill seeks, amongst other provisions, for changes to some of the procedures in the administration of criminal justice in Lagos State in order to promote an orderly society and foster collective obligations and duties towards the reservation and protection of lives and properties, including public properties.
