In addition to asserting that his administration is planning to start distributing palliatives among other steps to lessen the impact of the high expense of living in the nation, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has stated that the state will resume a 25% discount on public transport in the state.
The governor announced, “Almost immediately from this weekend, we’re throwing back a 25% reduction on all public transport,” during a live media conference with journalists on Thursday.
“To make sure we can support the different unions as well, we’re collaborating with them. But starting this weekend, we’ll be able to take use of that on our BRT, trains, and ferry services.
“As we speak, I’m expecting over 200 trailers of rice coming from up north,” the governor stated in reference to the food palliatives.
