At a celebration, several armed men shot and killed Francis Oguntulu, the deputy chief of staff to Kehinde Oloyede, the chairman of the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area.
Oguntulu was fired at and axed on Adeyemi Street in Oshod on Friday, August 19, 2022 and passed away on Sunday morning according to a statement from the media office of the LG boss on Sunday, August 21, 2022
This was also confirmed on Sunday by Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the Lagos State Police.
We have lost a devoted, humorous, and invariably kind man to the icy clutches of death, the council chairman Oloyede lamented as he paid tribute to the deceased. We were rudely shocked to learn of the death. In order to serve as a deterrence to those preparing nefarious deeds, we implore the Lagos Police to determine the cause of the death and see to it that those responsible are brought to justice.
“As we mourn Goke, I appeal to our party men and women and all residents of our dear council to remain calm as we have asked the Police to investigate the matter. We will never leave any stone unturned in this case. We will work hand in hand with the Police in the course of their investigations to unmask those behind the act.”
