Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje presented N 134 billion revised edition of the 2020 Appropriation Bill to the State Assembly for consideration.
The revised edition of the bill which was read at the plenary on Monday, July 6, 2020 witnessed a drop of about 30 percent as a result of reduction in the projected revenue caused by the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.
According to the speaker of the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Abdulazeez Gafasa said the Governor requested for the downward review of the budget size from N200 billion to N138 billion.
Gafasa stressed that the revised budget consist of N78.8 billion for recurrent expenditure, N54.9 billion for capital expenditure.
The request which was addressed in a letter was forwarded to the Clerk of the House, by the speaker for further actions.
