The Chairman of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT), Justice Mohammed Garba, has been promoted to the Supreme Court.
Justice Garba was the one who dismissed petition filed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate for 2019 election, Atiku Abubakar against President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term election.
Garba who was one of the four others recommended Justices to President Muhammadu Buhari by the National Judicial Council (NJC) for appointment as Justices of the Supreme Court.

According to a statement signed by NJC spokesman, Soji Oye, 18 others were also recommended for appointment as judges of other courts.
