Elder statesman Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has succeeded the late Prof. George Obiozor as President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
A delegation from the Imo Elders Council officially informed the governor of the Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, on Wednesday at the Government House in Owerri under the leadership of HRM Eze Cletus Ilomuanya, the council’s chairman.

Ilomuanya praised Iwuanyanwu as a versatile, vibrant, and open-minded individual while pleading with the governor to approve the council’s adoption. Ilomuanya informed the governor that the Imo State Council of Elders decided to adopt Iwuanyanwu during their meeting in April in Owerri.
