The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, has directed it’s members to sell petrol at the old rate of one hundred and forty three naira per litre, pending the new directive by the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency, PPPRA.
The National Public Relations Officer of IPMAN, Alhaji Suleiman Yakubu stated this while chatting with newsmen in Abuja.
Alhaji Suleiman was reacting to the new ex- Depot rate of one hundred and thirty eight naira sixty two Kobo per litre from the previous one hundred and thirty two naira sixty two Kobo per litre.
He said IPMAN would soon brief it’s members when it receives directive from PPPRA.
NNPC and Petroleum Products Marketing Company, PPMC, had fixed the ex- Depot price of petrol at one hundred and thirty eight naira sixty two Kobo per a litre according to the Manager, Sales, of the Company, Alhaji Mohammed Bello.
In a statement, Alhaji Mohammed said the new price would come into effect as from this week.
The ex- Depot price is the price at which the Depot Owners sell the commodity to the retail outlets.
For now, IPMAN has advised Marketers to sell at the old rate pending when PPPRA would announce it’s monthly pricing for the products modulation.
