In the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) claims it has recorded 3,733,068 new registrations (online pre-registration) (CVR).
This was revealed by the commission during its weekly exercise update on Tuesday in Abuja.
The number of completed online and physical registrations was at 1,393,502 as of 7 a.m. Monday, October 25, with 522,066 online and 871,436 physical registrations.
According to the commission’s weekly update, Osun State has the most new registrations (444,811), followed by Delta State (284,231), Bayelsa (244,281), and Edo (236,980).
Abia had the fewest new registrants, with 17,217, followed by Yobe with 17,666, and Kebbi with 22,728 new online pre-registration.
According to the commission, there are 710,003 males, 683,499 females, and 15,022 people with disabilities who have completed their registration (PLWD).
INEC also revealed that as of Monday, it has received 5,633,937 applications, including voter transfer requests and requests to replace Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
According to INEC, there were 3,042,095 males, 2,591,842 females, and 63,733 PWDS applicants.
