It is our responsibility as the guardians of the resources in our community to make sure that no qualified student is turned away because of a lack of funds.
The Executive Chairman, Hon. Rasulu Olusola Idowu (Mr. Project), expressed the aforementioned views to around 200 indigenous and resident students of Ojo Local Government on Thursday at the presentation of the annual year 2023 Bursary Award at the Multipurpose Hall, Ojo.
The Executive Chairman went on to provide the following breakdown of the Bursary Award: There are around N5 million to support the following Indigenes: 2 medical students, N50,000 each; 8 law students, N40,000 each; 10 five-year courses, N30,000 each; 99 other students, N25,000 each; and 74 residents, N20,000 each.
As he firmly believed that an educated society is a prosperous society, Hon. Idowu expressed optimism that investing in education is an investment in the future of Ojo Local Government. He also added that by empowering young minds, we are laying the groundwork for inclusive and sustainable development.
