The coveted prize, supported by the African Union, will be presented by the African Film Institute in November 2022 in Abuja.
The renowned award, which is given annually and is now in its fourth consecutive year, recognises and honours outstanding contributions made by leaders in Nigeria’s governmental and business sectors.
The occasion honours notable figures and leaders whose contributions to Nigeria’s political, social, and economic realms have been felt.
Following his defection from the People’s Democratic Party in May 2022, Obi was nominated as the LP’s presidential candidate for the general elections of 2023.
