The Igangan Police station in Oyo State’s Ibarapa North Local Government Area has been attacked by gunmen.
As of the time this report was filed, Adebowale Williams, the state’s commissioner of police, and his troops were on the scene of the attack.

According to accounts, the event last night resulted in the deaths of a Divisional Crime Officer and a suspect who was being held in custody.
Adewale Osifeso, the state police public relations officer, had earlier confirmed the incident and said the chief of police was en route to the troubled police station.
Conflicts between farmers and herders in Ibarapa have made headlines.
