Lagos East All Progressive Congress (APC) senatorial candidate, Tokunbo Abiru has assured the Lagos East constituents that he would not disappoint them but would live to expectations to justify the confidence reposed in him by members of the district.
Abiru who gave the assurance during the flag off campaign of the party in Epe area of Lagos on Monday, September 14, 2020 said if elected as the Senator in the October 31st, 2020 bye-election, members of the constituents will have no reason to regret giving him their mandate.
Abiru who was a former commissioner of finance and immediate past Chairman of Polaris Bank expressed his appreciation to all the leaders and members of the party for their confidence in him, adding that he would justify the confidence reposed in him by representing them well at the upper Chamber urging the electorate to come out enmass on 31 October, 2020 to support the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The ex-banker added that he will facilitate the reconstruction of
Itokin-Epe road in other to create avenues for investors to come in as well as creation of a foundation to take care of the vulnerables, youths and leaders in the constituent.
“Let me assure all of us here that, I first of all thank you for choosing me to represent you and I promise not to disappoint you and justify the confidence reposed in me by all and sundry”, Abiru said.
Speaking at the campaign ground in Epe, the Apase of Epeland, Chief Shakiru Akanni Seriki, popularly addressed as Bamu noted that Epe is known to deliver well during and shall continually support the All Progressive Congress, APC with doubles of what has been recorded in the area in the past.
The campaign train which also touched the Palace of the paramount ruler of Odo Naforija Kingdom , Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja , declared support for the senatorial ambition of Mr. Abiru emphasised that is reign shall continue supporting whatsoever that will bring development to Epe and humanity at large.
Oba Ogunlana however expressed appreciation to the entire leadership of the party urge the youths to embrace peace before, during and after the election.
The meeting which has in attendance several traditional rulers, youths laaders and members of the constituent.
