Chief Olabode George, a former deputy national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said over the weekend that if Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a presidential hopeful, is elected president in 2023, he will leave Nigeria.
Tinubu, he claims, has done nothing for the country to merit such a high honour as being elected President.
This declaration was made during a press conference at George’s Lugard Office in Lagos.
This isn’t the first time the PDP leader has stated that if Tinubu is elected President, he will leave Nigeria.
He stated again that if the APC leader succeeds President Muhammadu Buhari, he may travel to Ghana and observe from afar.
George said, “I am happy the President has signed the new electoral bill. If by whatever chance he gets to the villa, I won’t be part of this country.
“And I am not joking. I can go to Ghana and watch with binoculars from afar. You will see what will happen.”
