Following the crooner’s passing, a Community Leader from Ikorodu has given an account of what happened between him and Mohbad’s father, alleging that he expressed displeasure of the move and firmly insisted that the midnight burial wouldn’t take place.
The man who provided this information in his native tongue claimed that the late singer’s father had nitially planned to conduct a midnight burial on the same day of his son’s demise but he angrily objected to the idea of having a midnight funeral on the same day as his son’s passing.

The man claimed:“I didn’t allow them to bury him. They wanted to bring him at midnight.”
“He called me, but I initially refused and told him he can’t be buried at midnight, not here.”
