Adegboyega Oyetola, the governor of Osun State, has stated that he has unwavering faith in the Nigerian judicial system with regard to his petition before the electoral tribunal.
Oyetola has requested that the election of Ademola Adeleke, the PDP’s nominee for governor, be declared invalid by the Election Petition Tribunal in Osogbo.
The governor said there were several abnormalities in the election.
Oyetola asserted that he, along with the All Progressives Congress, was confident in winning the tribunal.
The governor made this statement on Sunday in Osogbo during the annual photography and videography day celebration and fund-raising event for the association’s N20 million ultramodern hall.
Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, the governor’s special adviser on civic engagement, spoke on his behalf and expressed the governor’s confidence in his ability to win back his position at the tribunal.
“For now, there is a minor setback and challenge, but I want to assure you that we are standing tall and assured of victory,” Oyintiloye said in a statement made accessible to the media.
“With what we have before the tribunal, there is no cause for alarm.
“We believe that by the grace of God, we will glorify God and celebrate our victory”, he said.
The governor expressed his gratitude to the state’s residents for their support of his administration from the beginning.
Additionally, he thanked the association’s members for supporting his administration and assured them of the government’s ongoing support for the expansion of their company.
The group’s chairman, Isaac Adegoke, stated in his remarks that association members were direct beneficiaries of the governor’s people-oriented programmes.
