On Monday, several furious teenagers set fire to Noble Kids Academy in Kawaji, Nasarawa Local Government Area, Kano state.
This comes after it was revealed last week that the school’s proprietor, Abdulmalik Tanko, kidnapped and later killed five-year-old Hanifa Abubakar, who was a student at the time.
The youngster was kidnapped last year, and her kidnappers sought N6 million in ransom for her release, according to InsightnaijaTV.
Tanko, the proprietor of the school where the girl was abducted and killed, was caught after weeks of inquiry.
During the parade of suspects in the girl’s kidnapping and murder, Tanko told reporters that he killed Hanifa with rat poison after discovering she knew his face.
The discovery sparked angry reactions from Nigerians with the Kano State government ordering the school to be shut down immediately until further notice.
However, the anger of the residents has not been appeased over the development as the youths stormed the school in the early hours of Monday and set it on fire.
Nigerians were outraged at the finding, and the Kano State government ordered the institution to be closed down immediately until further notice.
Residents’ outrage was not quenched when a group of teenagers stormed the school and set it on fire in the early hours of Monday morning.
