Three people are feared dead after an attack by unidentified gunmen near Neokeisima intersection in Umulogho, Obowo Local Government Area, Imo State.
Michael Abattam, the spokesman for the Imo State police command, acknowledged the event to InsightnaijaTV but could not provide any details.
“Three people have been confirmed dead.” “Please provide details as soon as possible,” was Abattam’s harsh answer to a text message sent to him by our journalist.
The attack’s details are still vague, but a resident who requested anonymity informed this website that it happened around 7:50 p.m. on Friday.
He claimed the intruders opened fire on the victims before fleeing to an unknown location.
A video provided with our correspondent shows the victims in a pool of blood at a popular beef BBQ joint known as ‘Suya Spot.’
Bystanders at the incident were also heard stating that the perpetrators arrived in a sienna bus and shot sporadically, adding that one of the victims was mistaken by the shooters for a northerner.
