In an early-morning attack on the Abdulsalam Abubakar General Hospital in Niger State’s Gulu, Lapai Local Government Area on Tuesday, suspected kidnappers killed two people.
According to information obtained by InTv, the abducted individuals included a pharmacist and the hospital’s doctor.
Eyewitnesses said that the shooters arrived in large groups and began firing randomly as they went about their business unimpeded by security personnel or vigilantes.

Despite security agencies’ and the state government’s efforts to address security issues, gunmen have recently started attacking Niger State.
The local villages have been targeted by kidnappers four times in total. Residents of the North-Central state are so terrified by the situation that they have asked the government to step up security.
