Mrs. Ann Unenge, wife of Benue Commissioner for Lands and Survey has been abducted in Makurdi, Benue State capital by gunmen and taken to an unknown destination.
The incident, which is the second in Makurdi, took place less than one week after two women were abducted in a similar fashion.
The victim had only returned from Daudu town where she went to visit her parents before she was waylaid.
Her vehicle, a Toyota Highlander, was reportedly taken away by the gunmen.
The gunmen reportedly shot sporadically into the air at the junction to scare away passersby before driving away with their victim, who was shouting on top of her voice.
The incident happed around 6:pm on Thursday, July 29, 2021.
