Governor of River State Nyesom Wike has reprimanded the police for allegedly harassing the Ondo State Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi.
The Governor stated this in a statement signed by his commissioner for Information and Communication Paulinus Nsirim alleging that it is unprofessional for the commissioner of police in Ondo State to dabble into politics by denying the deputy Governor of the State access to the car belonging to him.
Governor Wike described the act as condemnable and unsuitable for a democratic Government.

“I will continue to say the truth, it does not matter which political party i belong. Look at the police reducing themselves to a level where politicians will now send them to infringe on the rights of a Deputy Governor without regard to the fact that he has immunity”.
“They remove a commissioner of police in Rivers State because the Calverton helicopter Saga which had to do with persons whose COVID-19 status were not known during the lock down in the State.
