Chief of Staff to Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Terwase Orbunde said on Friday that his guber aspiration to succeed his principal is intact.
Orbunde, in a statement he personally signed said “It has become necessary for me to reaffirm that my aspiration to succeed my principal, Governor Samuel Ortom, at the expiration of his two-term tenure in 2023 remains alive and intact.”
He said this clarification follows calls from political associates and concerned people within and outside the state.
The statement reads; “They have sought clarification on why my name was not among those listed by Governor Ortom when he unveiled some People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) 2023 Governorship aspirants at an event in Gboko last Sunday.
