Two billion litres of Premium Motor Spirit, according to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, are on hand.
According to a statement made by Mr. Adeyemi Adetunji, Executive Vice President, Downstream, NNPC Limited, the NNPC has programmed trucks and vessels to access unrestricted depots while major load-outs from depots to states are continuously monitored to reduce fuel line-ups.
Adetunji claimed that the difficulties experienced in Lagos had an effect on Abuja, and that NNPC retail and important marketers had increased dedicated loading into Abuja to restore order.
“The recent queues in Lagos are largely due to ongoing road infrastructure projects around Apapa and access road challenges in Lagos.
