The FRSC Lagos Sector Commander, Corps Commander Ogungbemide, has called on the motoring public to make the year 2020 ’ember’ months unique and crash free by adhering strictly to road traffic regulations.
He made the appeal at the 2020 Ember Months Safety campaign organised by the FRSC Ibeju Lekki Unit Command in Lagos.
The Sector Commander, noted that the last months of the year are not in anyway different from other months of the year, only that there seem to be an increase in vehicular movement witnessed during the season.
The Corps Commander Ogungbemide, said that it was very possible to drive without involving in a crash as long as motorists obey and adhere strictly to traffic laws and ensure constant maintenance of their vehicles.

He was represented by the Unit Commander, Epe, Assistant Corps Commander Tunde Adesina.
Corps Commander Ogungbemide, also warned that all travelling protocols for COVID-19 must be strictly adhered to.
In a welcome address, the FRSC Ibeju-Lekki Unit Commander, Assistant Corps Commander, Idris Popoola, who gave a crash analysis within Ibeju-Lekki axis between January and November this year, used the occasion to appeal to all road users to actively play a part in keeping the roads safe.
Assistant Corps Commander Popoola, said the FRSC would regularly carry out public enlightenment campaign to Churches, Mosques, Markets, Schools and Motor parks across the States.
Goodwill messages were delivered by representatives of the Police, NDLEA, Immigration Service, VIO, Civil Defence Corps as well as leaders of motor parks on the Lagos Ibeju Lekki corridor.
