At least four persons were killed on Monday in a deadly battle between residents and herdsmen in Kaduna State’s Jankasa village, Zangon Kataf local government area.
Three other people were critically injured in the brawl, according to a resident who escaped unharmed.
The quarrel between the two parties, which subsequently erupted into a brutal brawl, occurred along the cattle trails in the village.
The situation was brought under control when security forces arrived on time.
The incident was also confirmed by the state’s Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.
He stated that the injured people are currently being treated in a state hospital.
According to Aruwan, 13 cows were murdered after a group of armed persons attacked several settled herdsmen at Manchok in the state’s Kaura local government region.
“However, troops recovered 25 others in the surrounding area.” “There were no human casualties reported,” the commissioner noted.
