As seen by InsightnaijaTV, four people who were allegedly acting as informants for the terrorists that stormed the Kuje Medium Security in Abuja have been detained.
Remember how terrorists assaulted the Kuje jail facility a few weeks ago, resulting in the deaths of no less than six people, among them an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
Top Boko Haram figures in the institution were given room to flee by the militants, who also made way for other offenders.
Four persons have reportedly been detained for providing terrorists with information about the whereabouts and movements of troops near Abuja, according to reports by InsightnaijaTV on Sunday.
According to the claims, a security organization already has the crooks under its control.
The suspects were apprehended using high-tech tools, including Walkie-Talkies, revolvers, knives, amulets, and outdated Chinese-made phones that don’t utilize data, according to an intelligence operative who spoke with the media platform.
According to the source, who took part in the operation that resulted in the arrest of the informants, covert investigations are still being conducted to determine their commanders and financiers.
The source further stated that preliminary research had shown that the recent attacks in the area of the Federal Capital Territory, or FCT, were caused by the actions of terrorist collaborators.
“The suspects are currently being interrogated to determine if they are working for terrorist groups or armed bandits or other elements with ulterior motives.
“I can authoritatively inform you that, while the military has deliberately refused to provide updates since the attack on Kuje Prison, to last attacks on troops at the Bwari and Zuma Rock axis, the joint security task force has so far killed more than 70 armed criminals, including dangerous Kuje prison escapees and terrorists,” PRNigeria quoted the source as saying.
