Goodluck Jonathan, a former president of Nigeria, is currently following the presidential election in Kenya.
The country anticipates a smooth transition of power after nearly ten years under President Uhuru Kenyatta, who served two terms.
Due to term restrictions, President Uhuru Kenyatta is anticipated to stand down when the election is over.
The two front-runners to succeed him are seasoned opposition leader Raila Odinga and current Deputy President William Ruto.
Kenyatta and Ruto had a falling out, and he now backs Odinga.
The three men took part in the 2007 election, although Ruto supported Odinga over Kenyatta’s boss at the time.
