The Federal Government on Monday, June 29 2020 lifted ban on interstate travels effective from July 1.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation who doubles as the chairman Presidential Task Force(PTF) on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha said this during the daily briefing.
It will be recalled that the Federal Government of Nigeria placed in ban on interstate travel as one of the measures to cushion the spread of Corona virus in the Country.
Other directives giving by members of the PTF includes; curfew still remains from 10pm – 4am, wearing of facial mask compulsory for everyone,funerals & Wedding gathering should not be more than 20 persons (Including family members), Churches and Mosques activities will remain as it were, school are to remain shut, but those who are eligible for promotional class will be allowed to sit for the exams, that is students preparing for Common entrance, both Junior and senior WAEC and Warcraft among many others.
Also speaking at the briefing in Abuja, National coordinator of PTF, Dr. Sani Aliyu said that only fifty percent of the passengers of the the buses are allowed during travels.
“Only 50% of the passengers are allowed with compulsory use of face mask”.
“Travels are not expected at night at this period”.
