Federal Government through the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), has disbursed the sum of N5million in form of loan to women in the 33 Local Government Areas in Oyo State as a support to improve their individual businesses.
The fund disbursement took place at the Donald Hall, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oke-Ado, Ibadan.
Speaking during the disbursement, the Oyo State Coordinator for NDE, Mrs. Olayinka Olayemi said the program was initiated to provide support for women in terms of business expansion.
The program which is designed to impact on the economic growth of the Country as well as eradication of poverty among its citizens.
In her goodwill message, the wife of the former Governor of Oyo State, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi commended the Federal Government for the initiative and impactful stride
Mrs. Ajimobi who was represented by Mrs. Omolara Farinloye, called on beneficiaries of the fund to make judicious use of the funds and engage in something productive.
