Former Ekiti State Governor Mr. Ayodele Fayose on Monday, July 20, 2020 said the fight Against Corruption by President Muhammadu Buhari led administration is one sided.
Fayose who reacted to the ongoing investigations into the activities of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) over the mismanagement of funds allocated to the Commission under the watch of the Ministry of Niger Delta.
The Minister of Niger Delta, Mr. Godwill Akpabio was one of those who made presentation before the House of Representatives committee investigating the allegations after the collapse of the NDDC, MD, Kemebradikumo Pondei on Monday, July 20, 2020.
Reacting to Akpabio’s alleged role in the scandal, Fayose noted that the minister has further made a mess of Prsident Buhari’s self- professed fight against corruption noting that fight is mainly targeted at the opposition that are not in Buhari’s group of corruption.
Fayose also appeal to President Buhari not to interfere in the the matter and give room for transparency in other not to sweep the matter under the rug to protect some people.
“And like I have maintained, the only thing been done with the so-called fights against corruption is to persecute opposition figures”.
“Rogues all over the world, the moment they decamped to APC, they will be accorded the prime of place in the Government”. He posted on Twitter.
“Nigerians want to see its end. Akpabio must be fully investigated and charged to Court if found culpable.
