Security agencies in Lagos State have been urged to up their games especially during the upcoming Eid Kabir celebration.
The Chairman of Epe Local Government, Mr. Adedoyin Adesanya made the call during an emergency meeting with heads of Security Agencies and Community leaders having discovered some illegally developed settlements in Oko-orisan and Afero villages in Epe.
He complained that there were illegal activities in those Communities ignoring to the Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown order by the Government.
The Chairman who expressed dismay that restaurants, brothels, beer parlors and betting centres were operating in an unkempt environment and in unhygienic manner, disregarded the precautionary advice violated the lockdown order.
Mr Adesanya said, two people arrested in connection with trading in illegal substances have been arrested for further investigation and prosecution.
The Community leaders noted that they allowed them use the area to prevent further attacks by criminals.
They promised to cooperate with the Government on whatever measures that would help to sanitize the areas.
