Chief Femi-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, has been released from EFCC custody following an 8-hour “quiz.”
InsightnaijaTV understands that the ex-minister was summoned by the anti-graft agency for a brief interrogation over document falsification.
Fani-Kayode and 14 others are on trial for allegedly misappropriating N3.8 billion between January and March 2015.
Fani-Kayode had been in court earlier today with the former Minister of Finance and a few other defendants accused of falsifying paperwork.
EFCC had invited FFK to a quiz at its office shortly after the court’s decision.
However, contrary to media reports, Fani-Kayode responded with a tweet stating that he was not arrested.
According to him, “ Once again I was invited to the EFCC today. Once again, despite media reports, I was NOT arrested but invited. I got there at 11.00 am and I have just been released. Thanks be to God”.
