Despite the financial difficulty brought on by the removal of fuel subsidies, the Senate has eliminated the possibility of the National Assembly making budget cuts.
The National Assembly is not accountable for any economic hardships suffered in Nigeria, according to Senator Yemi Adaramodu, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, who spoke to journalists on Monday in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Adaramodu, who made the comments shortly after the tribunal upheld the All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart’s electoral victory over Senator Biodun Olujimi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), listed what he called many cogent roles played by lawmakers without any allowances attached, including committee works and oversight roles, and insisted that requests for them to cut back on expenses cannot be valid.
